NOVATRANS, the combined road/rail freight specialist, has launched a direct service between Le Havre and Northern Italy. It offers a transit timesaving of at least 24 hours.
The company claims this takes its traffic from end to end in less time than road haulage throughout. On outward runs, traffic leaving Le Havre at noon arrives at the Novara terminal, west of Milan, at 10.30am the next day.
Return journeys leave Novara at 7pm one day and arrive at Le Havre at lam two days later, giving a return duraction of 36 hours.
All journeys may be linked into Townsend Thoresen's Portsmouth-Le Havre ferry.
