ALL CUMMINS UK and European commercial vehicle engines are now being offered with improved warranty cover.
The revised warranty covers engines for parts and labour with unlimited mileage for 12 months from the date of registration. Beyond the first year, Cummins extended warranty provides cover for major components for up to three years or 300,000 miles, which ever comes first.
Parts covered by the extended warranty include cylinder block, crankshaft, connecting rods and camshaft. The inclusion of the camshaft is an improvement over the previous extended warranty programme.
In addition to the standard Cummins engine warranty, further cover schemes are also available to operators. Cummins Custom Cover gives parts cover on listed components for five years or 1m km (620,000 miles) for a single payment of £85 for 10/14 litre engines, or .£75 for small V units.
