• Philip Stockton, chairman of The Runneymede Group, explaining why it bought camshaft manufacturer Zephyr Cams of Lowestoft, says: "Because it is a first-class company and has an excellent reputation both for the quality of its products and its service. In the after-market, we feel that Z,eephyr's product range has been under-exploited and that the range can be successfully expanded." Stockton was formerly managing director of Cooper Filtration and chief executive of Payen International; fellow director Duncan Lever has been general manager of Payen Curty and managing director of Coopers Payen; director John Martin is a marketing expert with experience in the motor and airline industries. Development Capital Group Securities, a Lazzard subsidiary, played a leading role in the acquisition which involved a total funding of £3.9 million.
