Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• A Leyland Daf truck distributor is forming a company to import French Traitor trailers into the UK.

Sherwood Trailers, part of Derbyshire-based Sherwood Leyland Daf, will be the sole UK distributor to six Traitor dealers.

Sherwood's managing director Terry Waterfall says he hopes to up sales by Traitor, which claims to be Europe's biggest trailer manufacturer, from 250 to 400 in a year, and eventually to 1,000.

The Nancy-based manufacturer formerly sold direct to its dealers in Glasgow, Nottingham, Billingham, Nottingley, Stoke and Bristol. Now, Sherwood will handle all distribution as well as offering a parts and warranty service. Traitor re-entered the UK market in the early eighties. Its products range from eightmetre tandem-axle platforms to the more sophisticated Savoyarde tilts.

Sherwood says it will adapt units at the depot in Blackwell, adding specialist bodywork, curtairtsides and reefers.

Traitor, will make almost 7,000 trailers this year.
