• Ribble Motor Services Ltd, was granted a fares increase in Lancaster last week. The application was granted as applied for by a joint sitting of the Traffic Commissioners for the Northern, North Western and Yorkshire Traffic Areas. Objections were entered by a large number of local authorities drawn from the three areas.
Since Ribble received its last increase, expenses have risen by £425,415. The total revenue increase during the next year is estimated at £405.000. Increases in fares have effect as from October 19.
