A new Saville
REDDISH SAVILLES, manufacturer and supplier of special chemicals to brewing, dairy and food industries, is modernising its distribution fleet.
The first of nine new vehicles to be delivered to Reddish Savilles' headquarters at Cheadle, Cheshire, is a Scania 82M tractive unit powered by a six cylinder turbocharged and intercooled unit developing 172kW (231bhp).
The sleeper cab has an independent cab heater, heated driver's suspension seat and heated rear-view mirrors. Clear Pass spray suppression equipment is included in anticipation of new legislation.
In order to standardise its fleet, Reddish Savilles' existing vehicles will all be replaced by Scania 82M tractive units and rigids for operation at 32.5 tonnes (with 11m [36ft) Cartwright curtainsided trailers) and 16 tons.
The company's operation covers the British mainland and each vehicle delivers to between two and 42 customers.
