Concern over the maintenance record of Glasgow-based Clincart Construction has led to two of the company's eight vehicles being suspended from its licence for a week by Scottish IC Michael Betts.
HUGHES WARNED
Maintenance problems have led to Fareham-based HT Hughes & Sons (Transport)'s licence being cut from 90 vehicles and 14 trailers to 85 vehicles and 12 trailers. The company was also given a formal warning about its maintenance standards by Western IC Christopher Heaps at a Portsmouth public inquiry.

Opposition from the local authority has resulted in the refusal of a bid for a new international licence for five vehicles and six trailers by Frenny Doe, based at Gravel Hill Farm, Shirrell Heath, near Southampton.
MEMO WM'S Wolverhampton magistrates have adjourned the case against Tradeteam and two of the its drivers for a fortnight. The drivers are accused of driving for over four and a half hours without the required break and the company of permitting the offences.
