4 OPERATOR fined a total of £4,500 on charges relating to forged ternational road haulage permits by Rochford Magistrates in April is been dealt a further blow by Deputy Licensing Authority for the !stern Traffic Area, Charles Arnold Baker.
M. H. E. Jones, trading as Mole Commercial Repairs, was rnvicted 45 times in April and rmer employees G. J. Manng and T. J. Foord were also led £800 and £110 respectively that time.
Mr Jones was providing a aropean breakdown service id since 1977 he had been lawIly attempting to enlarge his location of permits, which he d by acquiring companies with locations and having the 3rmits transferred. Mr Baker disbelieved Jones' assertions that he did not know from whom he bought the forged permits. Jones was transferring two of his vehicles to a company called Tricosa, of which his wife and a former partner are directors, but claimed he did not know who owned the company. The DLA concluded that Jones was not of good repute and disqualified him from holding an Operators licence for three years. During that time he is not allowed to act as a director or hold a controlling interest in certain types of operating companies.
Mr Manning and Mr Foord had their heavy goods vehicle driving licences revoked and were disqualified from obtaining such licences for three years.
