J. A. WitrrixsoN has been promoted to the position of a senior vehicle examiner in the Eastern Region after 11 years as a vehicle examiner in the North-eastern Region.
MR. A. BINNS, manager of CommerKarrier (Midland), Ltd., Great Hampton Street, Birmingham, has been elected an associate member of the Institute of Transport.
Ma. \V, J. A. PECK Succeeds MT. W. Donaldson Wright as chairman of the Road Panel of the East Midland Road and Rail Regional Committee. Other changes concern MR. W. LATHAM, 0.B.E., Messrs. S. Latham and Son, Groby, Leics, who has been nominated to the Panel to succeed Mr. T. Bates, and Ma. B. J. BAGSHAW, of Tanners Lane, Kettering, who has been nominated to succeed Mr. W. Donaldson Wright. Mr. Peck, who was a member of the Liaison Committee which preceded the Road and Rail Conference, has been a member of -the Road Panel in the East Midland Region since its inception. He is also the chairman of the East Midland Area •S.J.C.
MR. R. E. BRITTON, of Hull; has been re-elected chairman of A.R.O.'s Yorkshire Area ; it will be his third
successive year in that office. MR. j. A. M. BRIGHT, of Selby, continues as chairman of the Area's Haulage Sectional Board, and Ma. J. J. GRANTER, of Upton, near -Pontefract, has been re-elected chairman of the Area's Passenger: Sectional Board.
