A coach driver, following upon an accident, decided to ring up his employer at Ealing 1010. Three . times the operator failed to understand the name of the exchange required, so the driver, in exasperation, replied: "E for 'Enery, A what 'horses eat, L where yer goes to, I what yer sees wiv, N what lays an egg and G for gee whiz, Ealing."
