Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

MY PET hate at the moment is the so-called 'green credentials' of the Olympic committee, and in particular the Barking logistics centre.

We go in there every day, and most days it is multi-drop. However, if the first delivery is booked in for, say, 0900hrs, and the second for midday, they will not issue both passes.

So we have to drive all the way to Stratford, tip one drop, then drive all the way back to Barking, get another pass, then drive all the way back to Stratford again, to tip the second drop.

It's madness. I've tried to reason with them, but I might as well be talking to one of my tail-lifts.

And I'm not the only haulier that this is happening to. Consider how much diesel is being wasted, how much unnecessary carbon is being emitted, not to mention the extra congestion it causes.

If things continue like this, we'll be able to hold the next Olympics in the carbon footprint that's being created.
