LORRY LEASING is bound to rise over the next five years, according to British Vehicle Rental and Leasing Association president David Longridge.
He told the BVRLA national rental and leasing seminar this week: "Because of the economy, a car or lorry is continuing to rise faster than the disposable incomes and company profits and cash flow. Undoubtedly over the next five years the trend from ownership to rental will continue."
This will lead to increased competition and increasingly sophisticated ways in which the rental and leasing industry markets its service and in the technology it applies. "In all this is a major challenge for our industry which could well provide a new and significant stimulus for leasing and rental growth."
