• A network ot bus lanes across Swindon has been proposed as an alternative to plans for a light rail system serving two corridors in the town.
Cheltenham & Gloucester Omnibus, whose Swindon & District division runs local services in Swindon, says that its bus lanes scheme would cost less than the light rail lines.
Combined with park-andride, the bus lanes scheme would provide more immediate benefits, says Cheltenham & Gloucester.
