• Plant hire contractor Robert H Bailey (Bedwas) has been granted a five-year national licence for 30 vehicles following a fleet inspection ordered by South Wales LA John Mervyn Pugh (CM 1.2-18 April). Pugh had suspended the licence until every vehicle passed an MoT test or was certified by an outside contractor as being of test standard. The licence will be reviewed next year.
