A MIDLAND haulier says Whiteftiar International should be declared bankrupt unless it pays him £10,000 owed for subcontracting work.
Dale Clarke of DMC Haulage & Traction Services in Tamworth is the latest of a number of truck operators to claim the Canterbury, Kent-based logistics company is withholding payment for work dating back to last year (CM 19 February).
"I was planning to expand this year, but I've had to get rid of two drivers because I'm now struggling for money. If it comes to it, I will petition them for bankruptcy." says Clarke.
Clarke and the other two hauliers who have contacted CM have carried out work through Whitefriar for Dutch company Stok Continental Services.
Steve Thompson from Whitefriar maintains that the company will be paid shortly by Stoic. which will allow it to pay subcontractors.
