KENT-RASED Lrith Haulage plunged into the red last year but its directors are positive about future prospects.
The pre-tax loss of £553,726 in the year to September compared with a pre-tax profit of £383,804 the previous year. Turnover slumped more than Um tot 15.3m but the number of employees remained steady at about 80.
In Erith's annual report. directors Steve Head and Steve Darsey say:"Given a favourable economic climate the company will continue to be profitable in the future."
The business is part of the Erith Group which runs more than 100 trucks and operates in the construction and demolition sectors.
