'THE contract placed, last year, by I the Ministry of Supply with Albion Motors, Ltd., for military vehicles to the value of £3m. has been cancelled because of a change in the defence programme. It is hoped that another contract of equal value will be secured, and the company state that there will he no reduction of employment.
A special plant was laid down for the cancelled order, which called for 3-ton and 10-ton transport and fighting vehicles.
C.M.U.A. FELLOWSHIP TO BE AWARDED
THE first award of the C.M.U.A. Road Transport Research Fellowship is to be considered next year by the Traders Road Transport Association. The award, which is worth at least £500, will be made to a British subject over 30 years of age to enable him to examine and report on transport arrangements abroad for the benefit of those engaged in road transport in the United Kingdom.
