MR. S. W. SHEARS, formerly chief bus engineer, Transport Vehicles (Daimler), Ltd., has become chief engineer of the Morris Engines branch of the Nuffield Organization.
MR. ARTHUR KEATS, chairman and managing director of Fisher and Ludlow, Ltd., has been elected the first vice-president of the Engineering Industries Association.
DR. A. C. WAINF., research director of the Triplex Safety Glass Co., Ltd., has been chosen as chairman of the Midland branch of the Society of Glass Technology for 1953-54.
MR. G. JAMES has been appointed southern counties regional manager of Union Tyre Supplies (Great Britain), Ltd. He is succeeded as Midland regional manager by MR. W. T. FULLER.
MR, H. aw1-0N has been elected chairman of the Yorkshire-Hull Division of the Traders' Road Transport Association. The vice-chairmen are MR. H. HODSON and MR. C. H. ScarrEa, and the honorary treasurer MR. I. PICKERING.
MR. C. HOLMES-WALKER, formerly district manager of the north-eastern branch of the Power Petroleum Co., Ltd., has become manager of the Chester branch in succession to MR. G. H. RAWUNGS, who has been appointed manager of the London branch.
