Ivaco has moved its dealerbased contract-hire service in-house, to become part of Iveco Finance. This service was previously handled by Transolver Operational Services, Iveco claims the move will give customers a 'one-stop-shop', where they can select products covering hire and lease purchase, finance and operating lease, contract hire, fleet management and Insurance services.
TRANSAMERICA MOVES
Transamerica Leasing is on the move. Its Heathrow branch, which also incorporates a new training centre, Is now located at Greenham Park, Feitham, while the Leeds branch has moved to Ferrybrido, West Yorkshire.
ONYX ECM=
The waste management company Onyx Environmental Group is to take delivery of 37 Mercedes [conic refuse trucks. The trucks, all 279hp [conic 2628LL mar-steer models, are fitted with German-built Faun compactor bodies and integrated lifts_ The vehicle order, the largest yet for [conic, follows a successful bid for a new contract from the London Borough of Camden.
PINZGAUER 6X6
Guildford's Automotive Technik, manufacturer of the Pinzgauer all-terrain vehicle, has secured a major order from the Ministry of Defence for 100 TUM-HD (Truck Utility MediumHeavy Duty) 6x6 soft-top vehicles for use as ground-toair missile carriers. The order is worth 17m.
