Stoke-on-Trent-based AJ Weaver (Hauliers) and director Nicholas Weaver are due to appear at Shrewsbury Crown Court In July to face charges of unlawful killing following a fatal accident involving one of the company's vehicles.
LICENCE SURRENDER
Welsh DIG Alan Jenkins accepted the surrender of the licence held by Ammanfordbased Michael George at a Port Talbot disciplinary inquiry. George had been called before the DIG in the light of his maintenance record.
DRIVERS' HOURS
Breaches of the drivers hours and tachograph rules have led to the licence held by H Clough & Partners, of Canonbie, being curtailed from six vehicles and six trailers to four vehicles and six trailers for a period of six weeks by Scottish TC Joan Aitken at a Dumfries disciplinary inquiry.
FORMAL WARNING
Chelford-based James Irlam & Son has been given a formal warning by the Eastern TC Geoffrey Simms (below). The company appeared before the TC at a Cambridge disciplinary inquiry following a number of prohibitions to vehicles on its Eastern Area licence.
