A The installation of tele vision sets in motor vehicles is covered by Regulation 133 of the Motor Vehicles (Construction and Use) Regulations 1973.
Briefly, the installation and use of such •apparatus in motor vehicles is prohibited only if the screen is partly or wholly visible to the driver, either directly or in reflection, while he is in the driving seat or if the controls other than the sound volume control or main switch is within the reach of the driver while he is in the driving seat.
The use of a TV in such a position that it might cause distraction to the driver of any other vehicle on the road is also prohibited.
