A GREEK UK driver will not be charged over the death of a man during an attempted robbery in Warwickshire.
The Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) has advised Warwickshire Police that there is insufficient evidence to charge Vasilius Nikolakopoulos with any offences in relation to the death of Dean Skidmore. who died of stab wounds after an incident in Coleshill, Warwickshire, on February 26 involving Nikolakopoulos' HG V.
Two men and a youth have been charged with conspiracy to rob and assault with intent to rob in connection with the incident.
David Clark, head of the complex casework unit at the CPS, says: "After a review of the evidence submitted, I have concluded there is insufficient evidence to prosecute Mr Nikolakopoulos for any criminal offences. In view of the fact that three people have been charged, it would not be appropriate for me to release any further information at this stage."
