WEregret to record the death of Mr. E. Allen, Mr. J. Bannon and Mr. E. p. Bullock.
Mr. Allen was chief security officer and chief fire officer of Leyland Motors, Ltd. He joined the firm as an apprentice in 1930.
Mr. Bannon, of Newry, Co. Down, who was 70, was one of the pioneers of bus services in that district. A district manager of the Ukter Transport Authority, he retired three years ago.
Mr. Bullock, who was 89, died at Purston, near Pontefract. He was a West Riding pad passenger transport pioneer who had spent more than 70 years in the industry. He started with horse charabancs and was early in the field when motor buses became popular, and he founded 13. and S. Motors who were taken over by the West Riding Automobile Co., Ltd., in 1950. Be acquired South Yorkshire Motors in 1929.
