The Leatherhead firm runs courses for both managers and drivers.
LLATHERHEAD-BASED EP Training Services has invested £4200 in a pair of demonstration digital tachographs and has already completed four management courses for the new equipment since January. "These purchases are quite an investment," confirms managing director Ed Pargeter.
The firm will start drivers' tachograph training next month; this coincides with legislation dictating that all new vehicles covered by the regs must be fitted with digitachs from I May.
Such a large-scale influx of new legislation and technology demands homework and a fair degree of patience on the part of trainers and operators alike.
"Digitachs are a good idea,but you have to get used to them."
4 Pargeter admits.
, "We've also been doing a lot of ADR training. We 411.USA used to run one ADR course a week; now it's two a week. People want these extra qualifications." To meet extra training demand, EPTraining Services has bought a fourth LGV"We're fully booked up until June," enthuses Pargeter, "We're doing pretty well."
