nightmarish and SKS/KKS offers correct coupling compared with a conventional fifth wheel. It's not cheap and there's no slider or pressed steel version... yet. But you could end up with some very happy drivers, particularly those who've previously struggled on dark, rainy nights wilding up landing legs and struggling with recalcitrant locking handles.
The full KKStractorftrailer rig is clearly the best approach, but wary operators can test the water with SKS. Even without auto landing legs, you'd still get auto-coupling and sensing so iswapability' between a KKS tractor and a 'normal' trailer is OK.
But why settle for half-measures?
