AN AGREEMENT between the EEC and the Austrian Government, signed earlier this month, is intended to simplify the customs procedures for goods travelling between the Community and Greece and Turkey via Austria. Austrian customs are to ease the administrative difficulties encountered by companies shipping goods through the country to these destinations.
The Commission has also announced that it is negotiating with the Council for Europe with a view to acced-1 ing to •the Council's European Convention for the protection of animals during international transport.
