"Calling all truck dealers in the South West: trucks are needed urgently for the floats that parade at Pill Rag.
"Laurie Dealer, who has attended quite a few of these in the village of Pill, has been informed that the event organisers are in desperate need for trucks.
"The alternative is hiring, and the budget is a little thin on the ground.
"Speaking to the Weston, Worle and Somerset Mercury, organiser Pauline McDade says: 'Some years the number of lorries in the procession has been in double figures. Even if we could have just four or five this year, it would be good.'
"So, any local dealers in Bristol, Weston, or Avonmouth who can give up a vehicle should call Pauline on 07971 535056. The event takes place at Victoria Park on 5 June 2010."
