Operating costs of the council's lorries are revealed in the annual report of Warwick county surveyor. The 12 Morris-Commercial, 30-cwt. vehicles each cost 21 Os. 2d. a day to run ; three of the chides were employed for only six months of the year, and were then replaced. Three new Dennis 4i5-cwt. lorries commenced work in October last year, and each cost :£1. 5s. 6d. per day to run.
Takeu as a whole, the 15 21-ton petrol rollers were employed for 3,9391 days, at a daily cost of 11s. 10d. each. The council's two steam tractor and trailer outfits worked for 472.1 days, at .a cost of R1439 Os. lid., which is equivalent to 23 Os. 11.3d. per day.
