IWO BROTHERS who masterminded a string of HGV thefts worth £1.4m have each been jailed for five-and-a-half years.
Their convictions follow a twoyear operation by police in Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire.
Lincoln Crown Court heard that the offences committed by Michael and Johnie Connors from Nottinghamshire included stealing £175,000 worth of champag,ne,two truck loads of lager and £500,000 worth of toiletries.
They and three men who drove the stolen vehicles pleaded guilty to conspiracy to steal on 10 separate occasions.
