Driving impressions Speed Alert
We left the SPL Technology site on trading estate on the edge of Kina Warwickshire, and headed towarc Stratford-upon-Avon. The first impression was how quickly we pas 20mph. The alert bleeped for all it was worth before we'd even left th industrial estate.
The first real problem for speed control was at 30mph in Wellesbourne. The speed limit is at the ei of town and runs on a good road ir the one-way system in the centre.
Keeping our speed down prove testing for the driver, but we mana it. If you go either side of 35mph y( can get the machine to play the IDE from New Order's Blue Monday.
The only big problem we think w be remembering to press the butt( when you enter speed restrictions and whether, on entering a higher area, you get too annoyed by havi to hear Blue Monday countless tin over until you reset the gadget.
Top Speed Limiter
This is a much more straightforwe product. It stops the driver exceei a designated speed or over-revvi the engine past a selected point. means that if you suspect your va are shooting up and down the M4 doing 90mph you can limit them t 70mph, without the driver being E to do anything about it.
Our experience was exactly itrq With the limiter set at 56mph and 3,500rpm, we tried pushing the tE van to break through the limits, lot there was no way we were going get past these barriers. It does wl says on the tin.
