WEST HARTLEPOOL CORPORATION may discontinue the use of the bus station in the town centre as the terminus for its Port Clarence service, following a dispute over charges with United Automobile Services, and the transport committee is recommending that alternative sites should be investigated.
United owns the bus station and seeks to increase the charge per departure for Corporation buses from 24d. to 44d.
