• Kirkpatrick Carriers has to wait to see if West Midland TC David Dixon will allow it to base 30 vehicles at Seafield Farm, Redditch. The company's bid was opposed by Worcestershire County and Bromsgrove District Councils and local residents.
Limits reviewed
• A review of the eightvehicle/seven-trailer licence held by TC Brears & Sons, of Crowle, near Scunthorpe, has led its Field Side site to be limited to four vehicles and three trailers with environmental conditions.
Absent revocation
• The licence held by Charles McCluskey, trading as Dyvert Haulage (Glasgow), was revoked when he failed to appear at a Glasgow disciplinary inquiry. Scottish TC Michael Betts concluded that he no longer met the requirement to be professionally competent.
limit set
• Maintenance problems led to a vehicle being cut from the eight-vehicle/13-trailer licence held by Sanquhar-based Stewarts Transport Services. Scottish TC Michael Betts also suspended two vehicles from the licence for 14 days.
Licence skipped
• Using a skip lorry without an 0-licence led to Shane Melville, of Swansea, being fined £50 by Llanelli magistrates. Melville, who was convicted in his absence, was also ordered to pay £30 costs.
