in private collections. The vehicle on the left is a 1934 Dennis Max 4x2 general service truck, of which 3,000 were built for the armed forces. It was in service until 1953; its present owner, Peter Stanbridge, bought it for £50 in 1968. The green vehicle is a 1957 Horla, one of 12 used by the North Thames Gas Board and now owned by Graham Clarke of East Sussex. Two contrasting buses: On the left is a 1929 Model G, with "toastrack" bodywork by Roberts—it's one of four built for Llandudno Corporation. Since retirement in 1958 it has been with Southampton University of Engineering. Also pictured is a 1927 30cwt aluminium singledecker, nearing completion of its restoration by Amberley Museum staff.
