Flexibility is one of the features of the bolted approach to life, far from restricting the options open to customers, it enables his precise dimensional preferences to be provided but without any loss of quality, time penalty or price penalty. The desire of the "Trade" to press for standard body work sizes at the expense of the customers real needs is really unnecessary if the bolted route is properly followed since it appears to efficiently cater for all dimensional variations.
