NEW range of 4 x 4 on/off hway trucks from Rumania now available in the UK ough ARO Land Cars of xley near Peterborough. "hese DAC vehicles are vered by either diesel or rot engines—an in-line six the case of the diesel and a petrol unit. The petrol engine is from ARO of Rumania with a capacity of approximately five litres (305cuin). No power figures are available as yet.
The transmission features a basic four-speed synchromesh gearbox with a high and low range facility. The suspension is conventional with semielliptic leaf springs and hydraulic dampers front and rear. The dry kerb weight is estimated to be 3710kg (3 tons 13cwt). Wheelbase is 3.62m (lift 10in) and prices start at £5,750 plus VAT.
