A UNION HEALTH and safety survey of haulage businesses has revealed some serious shortcomings says the Transport & General Workers Union.
Four had no health and safety training of any kind; one had no written health and safety policy statement; and one had never even had a visit from a Health and Safety Executive inspector.
Fewer than half had carried out occupational health checks.
