THEMetropolitan Licensing Authority last Friday adjourned until today the hearing of an application by N. Francis and Co., Ltd., 5 Parkholme Road, DaIston, to add eight vehicles to their A licence. Mr. R. D. McKay, secretary and general manager. said that the vehicles would temporarily solve the company's problems created by increased business.
Francis delivered goods received from the North and Midlands, and had a reciprocal arrangement with 0. Wray and Co., Ltd., with whom they had been associated for 30 years.
There were 47 regular parcels rounds a day. These were being supplemented by eight more.
