• A German company is planning to take its government to the European Court of Justice over restrictions which prevent it from employing a Dutch carrier for long-distance haulage in Germany, at German rates, using vehicles licensed in the Netherlands.
Pinaud Wieger GmbH Spedition originally lodged its appeal in the German federal court, but the case was referred to the European Court of Justice because it calls for a ruling on Germany's obligations under the Treaty of Rome.
