Although tractive units might have automatic chassis lubrication, blower trailers are generally lubricated by hand.
The three partitions on this Wilcox four-compartment body have a series of grease nipples fitted to the underbody locking mechanisms, over-centre locks over the trailer neck and cam locks under the main deck.
Normal spacing allows for six tonnes to be carried in the front section, then five tonnes, four tonnes and 12 tonnes in the rearmost portion at this 2+3 outfit's 40-tonne GCW loading.
