MR. M. ORMEROD, IVI.B.E., transport manager of the Overseas Food Corporation, has been made responsible for the Corporation's transport services between East Africa and Queensland.
MR. JOHN OLDHAM, 0.B.E., J .P.. chairman and joint managing director of Oldham and Son, Ltd., is visiting the U.S.A. for discussions with the company's associates there.
MR. R. G. EAGLE, chief purchasing agent of A.E.C., Ltd., has retired. His successor is M. C. A. BALDWIN. MR. B. G. GERRARD has been appointed assistant purchasing agent.
Mx. J. 0. BowLay has been appointed works manager of Guy Motors, Ltd. In addition, he will be works controller of Sunbeam Trolleybuses, Ltd. He was formerly assistant works manager of A.E.C., Ltd. MR. J. REID YOUNG has joined the board of S. Smith and Sons (England), Ltd.
MR. F. H. SEDGWICK has resigned his directorship of the Northern General Transport Co., Ltd.
MR. J. S. RAMSDEN, M.I.E.E., is resigning from the hoard of the British Thomson-Houston Co., Ltd., but is remaining with the company in a consultative capacity. He will continue as a director of three associated companies.
MR. H. H. STEWART has been elected chairman and MR. K. FIRTH BurmaFIELD honorary secretary and treasurer of the newly formed East Midland Centre of the Institute of Road Transport Engineers. The centre's next meeting will be held at Nottingham on October 10.
