• Dozens of hauliers have phoned Comm e re ia Motor since we launched our Loss of Licence campaign two weeks ago. As a result, CMis demanding that the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency reviews its policies on revoking PCV and LGV driving licences on the grounds of illness suffered many years ago —
some drivers lost their licences after years of good health.
Next week we are taking ten case histories of drivers who have had their licences revoked down to the DVLA in Swansea and asking that it reconsiders, or at least explains, its actions.
All the cases are of drivers who had their licences revoked without any warning over the past year, since the DVLA became an executive agency.
