SPEED LIMIT DECISION DEFERRED
AS many of the vehicles affected are in course of transfer to the Road Haulage Executive, a decision on the raising of the 20 m.p.h. speed limit for heavy vehicles will be deferred, said the Minister of Transport, in the House of Commons. The National Joint Industrial Council for the road haulage industry, he added, had failed to reach agreement on the matter.
