• Dennis Brothers of Guildford, who this year celebrate their diamond jubilee as fire engine manufacturers, have again been awarded a contract to supply the entire quota of front-line machines for the London Fire Brigade for 1968.
All 25 new vehicles are powered by the 170 b.h.p. Perkins V8 diesel engine and six of them are fitted with Allison fully automatic transmissions.
This new contract brings the total of Dennis fire fighting machines supplied to the London Fire Brigade to 450.
