Western Welsh Omnibus Co. Ltd. will not lose its identity when the State takes over the BET bus interests for absorption into the NBC. This forecast, made "without any special foreknowledge", came last week from the company's chairman, A. F. R. Carling..
He was presenting long-service awards to staff; 27 received 40-year awards, 13 got 25-year awards.
Mr. Carling said he based his opinion largely on observation of how the THC companies were encouraged to operate— "It has been thought wise and right to leave the identity of these companies separate and not try to aggregate them into enormous organizations."
Long may it be so.
