With over 120 pages containing a lively and often humorous yet nostalgic and always relevant look at bus operations, manufacturers and types including some which have become just part of history, the book includes some unusual photographic material of interest to all in buses from the bus spotter to the chief engineer.
Mr Hilditch's further look covers the country from Southall to Sandbach to Scotstoun and Surrey. It covers it from a position of experience in transport engineering without forgetting the needs of the traffic and finance men. Above all, the book shows that dealing with buses is dealing with human beings and human problems are sometimes the most difficult to resolve.
