AN EFFECTIVE way to protect the decking of flat-bed lorries, vans, containers and rolling stock from impact and abrasion damage, rot, and corrosion, while at the same time making them more hygienic and easier to clean, has been launched by Lamacrest. It is a new tar epoxide surface coating system costing from £2 a square metre.
The coating takes on correctly prepared-wood or steel surfaces and is applied by brush or roller, producing a hard coating with high resistance to both impact and abrasion.
The surface can be made nonskid by scattering calcined bauxite grit on the wet surface as it is laid.
