FORMER EastEnders actress Daniella Westbrook (who played Samantha Mitchell), right, has sold her Essex courier business Despatch UK to CitySprint for an undisclosed sum.

CitySprint has snapped up the 21-year-old Brentwood business to strengthen its presence in Essex, Hertfordshire and Kent. It will trade as CitySprint with effect from Friday 27 May. The company comprises a group of ownerdrivers operating motorcycles, vans and long-wheel-base transit vans.
Despatch UK director Mark Silvester says: “This acquisition brings a range of additional beneits to our customers with CitySprint’s scale and investment in technology, which we have been unable to offer our clients.” CitySprint has already bought two businesses this year: Swindon based Mainlink Courier Services and Warrington irm TnM Couriers.
