• Now in series production by MercedesBenz is a quiet version of the company's 0305-model town bus which, it is claimed, produces less than half the noise of any bus in its existing range. The improvement has been obtained by completely boxing in the rear engine.
It is claimed that the only noise from the moving bus, perceptible to the human ear, is that of the tyres on the road surface.
