maintain the correct level of cooling water. Yet how many drivers check water level regularly? However, this allimportant function may now be carried out automatically with the unique Watercheck instrument from Automents Ltd. This is an all solid-state liquid level indicator which maintains constant radiator surveillance.
Although many vehicles are fitted with a temperature gauge. this instrument is usually slow to react and does not give sufficient early warning of water loss. But the Watercheck has a small probe which is easily fitted into the radiator header tank at a predetermined level. Whenever the water level falls to the level of the probe, the latter passes a signal to the Watercheck at the dashboard and an amber lamp flashes as a warning.
The instrument can be fitted by the average driver within 20 min. there being only three electrical connections.
Two models are available— one for positive and one for negative earth vehicles; 12V systems only.
