ANEW range of Khamsin direct-fired space heaters has been announced by Park Engineering (Paddock Wood) Ltd. which has been designed to provide a high standard of operational safety in anticipation of greater stringency in the regulations applicable to such equipment. The heaters feature an improved combustion chamber, and the high-efficiency fans give a higher heat output and airflow. More efficient mixing of the hot and cold air ensures that there is no core of hot air with a cold-air surround.
The new heaters comprise the Model 125 which has a capacity of 125,000 B.t.u. and delivers 525 Cu. ft. of hot air a minute; the Model 160 which is rated at 160,000 B.t.u. and delivers 1,000 Cu. ft. a minute; the Model 225, having a heat output of 225,000 B.t.u. and a delivery rate of 2,200 cu. ft. a minute; and the Model 340 of 340,000 B.t.u. which delivers 3,000 cu. ft. of air a minute. Following the concern's normal practice, the heaters are equipped with protective devices which switch off the fan if the fuel or electricity supply is interrupted or if an obstruction raises the outlet temperature beyond the safe maximum.
